UPDATE, WEDNESDAY 0806 GMT: According to the BBC News Wednesday, Pakistani newspapers reported on Dr. Afia Siddiqui‘s disappearance the day after it occurred, noting “a woman had been taken into custody on terrorism charges.” However, despite an initial confirmation from Pakistan’s interior ministry, both the government and the FBI publicly denied having anything to do with her disappearance several days later. Dr. Siddiqui’s mother [who has since passed away] told the BBC in 2003, that a man wearing a motorbike helmet arrived at the family’s residence in Karachi and told her, “If I ever wanted to see my daughter and grandchildren again, I should keep quiet.” The BBC added, “This is despite the fact that Mrs. Siddiqui’s other daughter, Fauzia, says she was told by then Interior Minister Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat in 2004 that her sister had been released and would return home shortly.” For more details, see the BBC piece, as well as this Washington Post article.
[Original Post Below]:
Yesterday, CHUP posted a poem written by contributor Hassan Abbas addressed to Dr. Afia Siddiqui, suspected to be Prisoner 650, a prisoner-of-war in reported terrible medical condition located in a U.S. prison in Afghanistan. Siddiqui was allegedly arrested along with her three children by the Pakistani intelligence agency in early 2003 and has been missing since then, according to the Asian Human Rights Commission. Although American and Pakistani intelligence agencies had both confirmed she had been arrested, they reportedly [according to the AHC report] later denied her arrest. Despite this, rights groups and her family allege that she was being held at the U.S. Bagram Internment Facility for more than four years. Recently, British journalist Yvonne Ridley dubbed this Prisoner 650 as the Grey Lady of Bagram, and flew to Pakistan to highlight the plight of this woman.
Despite the allegations that Siddiqui was held in U.S. custody, her whereabouts for the past five years were never confirmed. On Tuesday, however, the Associated Press reported that Siddiqui, an MIT-educated Pakistani woman, “once identified as an Al Qaeda associate,” was brought to New York “to face charges she tried to kill U.S. agents and military officers during an interrogation in Afghanistan.” [see AP image above] The news agency reported:
Aafia Siddiqui, who was shot and wounded last month during the confrontation, was expected to be arraigned Tuesday in federal court in Manhattan on charges of attempted murder and assault, U.S. Attorney Michael Garcia said in a statement. A lawyer for her family said the allegations are false.
U.S. authorities provided a different account of how they detained Siddiqui. According to BBC News,
The U.S. military says it took custody of Ms. Siddiqui in Afghanistan last month…A statement by the FBI says Mrs Siddiqui was apprehended on 17 July in the Afghan province of Ghazni by local security forces. According to the statement, U.S. army officers and FBI agents visited her in detention on 18 July. During the visit, Ms. Siddiqui reportedly attempted to kill US officers with a weapon she had snatched. The attempt failed and she was reportedly overpowered after being shot in the chest by the Americans.
According to the Associated Press, however, “Afghan officials gave conflicting accounts of what transpired between Siddiqui and the U.S. interrogators,” at the time of the incident. The news agency reported, “Gen. Khan Mohammad Mujahid, police chief in central Ghazni province, initially said police argued with the Americans over giving up custody of Siddiqui. But he later said there was no argument and that the woman lunged at one of the U.S. soldiers, drawing the gunshot.”
Her family, not surprisingly, reacted strongly to the U.S. report. Afia’s sister, Fauzia Siddiqui told reporters during a news conference in Karachi, “What a mockery that after five years in detention Afia is suddenly discovered in Afghanistan… I decided to break my silence to say that one is innocent until proven guilty. My sister is innocent and has never been actually accused of any crime.” The family’s attorney, Elaine Whitfield Sharp, called the charges “a tall story,” asserting, “I believe she’s become a terrible embarrassment to them, [U.S. authorities], but she’s not a terrorist…When the truth comes out, people will see she did nothing wrong.”
Afia, now in the U.S., has been charged with one count of attempting to kill U.S. officers and employees, and one count of assaulting U.S. officers and employees, with a maximum 20 years in prison on each charge, reported Western media outlets. So far, however, she has not been charged with terrorism-related counts. Her three children, who went missing with her, have also not been found. Pakistan’s ambassador to the U.S., Hussain Haqqani has reportedly lodged a request with U.S. authorities for consular access to Siddiqui, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan.
Ultimately, nobody disputes the fact that Siddiqui, along with her three children, disappeared in 2003. The conflicting reports instead surround what has happened to Dr. Afia Siddiqui in the past five years. If she was indeed Prisoner 650, as speculative reports have suggested, then that is extremely problematic. Regardless of what this woman did or did not do, she is entitled to due process of law. She is, as her sister asserted, innocent until proven guilty, and no human being should be subjected to the cruel and inhumane treatment that she allegedly has undergone. And what of her three children? It disturbs me to no end that a women and her young children can disappear without a sound and no official action is taken. Now that she has appeared in New York, it will be interesting for all of us to watch what unfolds.
K, you’ve done an excellent job making sense of all the conflicting reports considering how unclear everything is regarding Afia’s case.
What’s odd is that she’s only been charged for the attack on US guards that happened last year. Where was she before then? At a training camp in Afghanistan or had she been detained all along? If she was a terrorist and they had found liquid poison and maps of US sites in her handbag why are there no other charges against her? If the proof is so solid, why have US officials not been more forthcoming with evidence to end all the stories of abuse?
While no one is certain of the facts at this point, let’s hope she receives a fair trial and her family is able to get in touch with her and the missing children.
The truth, in my opinion, is found in previous acts of the most civilized country in the world. The current US Administration is guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity. We’ve seen what “we” have done to prisoners in Abu Ghraib or Guantanamo. What about the Kuwaiti who was “arrested” for four years then let go? Or Sami Hajj, the Aljazeera reporter who was also accused of being Al Qaeda operative and his wrongful imprisonment for 6 years?
Who defended and/or compensated those people?
The Administration will fabricate ANY story to convince us that someone is a member of Al Qaeda. Yet when our troops have gone insane (see video) and act like barbarians, no one imprisons those thugs!
ATW
If it’s true that she was going to bomb the governor’s house in Afghanistan, why would she be carrying books on arsenal along with maps of US sites etc. with her to the house in her handbag?
I hope the media pressure and spotlight doesn’t die out on this.
Oh my God, is that second photo the most recent one of Dr. Afia Siddiqui? She has aged alomst 20 years. My heart goes out to her and her 3 kids and her family back in Karachi. I have been thinking constantly of what she must have gone through in the last 5 years at the hands of those barbarians.
Please please continue building media pressure for her case. May Allah make things easy for her and her family.
That picture is definitely NOT of a defiant and angry woman who has been planning an attack of such proportions as depicted by US officials. It’s a face of a weak and emaciated woman who has undergone severe trauma.
Regardless of guilt or innocence of Afia on terrorism charges, it is becoming clear that she has been subjected to cruel and inhumane treatment and held without due process for a long time. Unfortunately, incidents such as these fuel resentment against the US and strengthen the extreme elements in Pakistan to go out and commit more acts of terror claiming more innocent lives of mostly Muslims. No wonder the US and moderate Muslims are losing the battle for the hearts and minds of the average Muslim, Afghani and Pakistani.
This is a shameful day for Pakistani Government. How easily, without interogating whether she is innocent or not they sold her, like many other innocent people to American FBI.
American FBI played a barbaric role, it proves that they are projected in right way in movies like “Harold and Kumar” & “In the name of God”

Fawwaz, I have signed the petition and I am sure others who have known about ithave signed it too. That is the very least we can do for our sister-in-faith. But that is not enough. We need to do more. We need to find ways to make Dr. Afia Siddiqui’s case more strong and loud. I was looking at the american news channels yesterday, none of them have bothered to make even a mention of Dr. Afia Siddiqui’s case. Why? Because she is a Muslim woman, that is why. BBC News did mention her in their South Asian section but under the very misleading heading ” The Al-Qiada woman appears in court”. What makes them say Dr. Afia is AlQaida woman? She is not proven guilty by any one and yet she has been undergoing the most inhuman form of tortures for the past 5 years. It is, I sincerely believe, the responsibility of us Muslims, to take a stand for Afia Siddiqui. But the problem is that we don’t have a forum to gather at and we also need some one to guide our efforts. I have been praying since last 2 days for Dr. Afia Siddiqui and her 3 children and her family. I have wept for her, I feel her pain and I feel so very helpless in not being able to do any thing concrete to help my sister. May Allah help her and all Muslims. Ameen.
Open letter to Begum Pervez Musharraf and wives of army officers
Dear Begum Pervez Musharaff,
I recognize that every one of us is responsible for our own acts, as such, being the wife of a Military Dictator and a former General of Pakistan Army, I wound not hold you responsible for his acts, however I will request you to consider following facts on humanitarian grounds being a women and a mother yourself.
As you know very well, your husband General Pervez Musharraff belonged to a lower middle class family, with limited resources and opportunities, however this nation provided him an opportunity and he became the Chief of Army Staff of fourth strongest army in world, no doubt, it is a great honor for any one, especially an army of a third world Muslim country where a common Pakistani travelling in a public bus would offer his seat as a token of respect when he see a man in Army uniform, a conductor will refuse to charge him bus fair and a poor roadside restaurant owner would refuse to accept the payment for his meal, I have witnessed tears in eyes of soldier’s when they get this much love and respect from people of Pakistan.
It’s not difficult to understand the feelings of people towards our armed forces, the men in uniform are supposed to defend our borders, our women and children.
Unfortunately, your husband blinded by greed for more power forgot about this love and respect towards the institution he was heading and dismissed a democratically elected government, this was a crime punishable by death under constitution but his seven point agenda was so appealing that most of educated and moderate Pakistani’s supported him after takeover in a military coup and took him as a savior of Pakistan.
He did not turned much different from other dictators in world; he has destroyed each and every institution in country right from Pakistan Army itself to Judiciary and committed biggest economic frauds in history of Pakistan, people who were expecting a developed and moderate Pakistan under his rule are worried about a decent meal a day and afraid to go out of homes because of bomb blasts in every street, while they stay at home there is power outage, but let’s not get in to these details.
What compelled me to write this letter to you and the great daughters of this nation like you who are married to, ‘Men in Uniform’ (I can not say how much manly hood is left in them) are the reports about Dr. Afia Siddiqui, a respected daughter of this nation like you and others, who is presently being detained in isolation by the Americans in their Bagram detention centre in Afghanistan, for over four years called ‘Prisoner 650’ and that she has been tortured to the point where she has lost her mind. Britain’s Lord Nazeer Ahmed, (of the House of Lords), asked questions in the House about the condition of Prisoner 650 who, according to him is physically tortured and continuously raped by the officers at prison. Lord Nazeer has also submitted that Prisoner 650 has no separate toilet facilities and has to attend to her bathing and movements in full view of the other prisoners.
According to reports the ‘Prisoner 650’ Dr. Afia Siddiqui, a PhD degree holder, was arrested by Pakistani intelligence agencies while on her way to the Rawalpindi airport and that she was later handed over to the American Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). At the time of her arrest she was 30 years and accompanied by her three sons the oldest of which was four and the youngest only one month, one week after her disappearance, plain clothed intelligence went to her mother’s house and warned her, “We know that you are connected to higher-ups but do not make an issue out of your daughter’s disappearance.” the mother was threatened of ‘dire consequences’ in case she didn’t followed the instructions.
On December 30, 2003 Dr. Fawzia Siddiqui, Dr. Afia’s elder sister met with Mr. Faisal Saleh Hayat (the then minister of interior) at Islamabad with Mr. Ejazul Haq, MNA, regarding the whereabouts of Dr. Afia. Mr. Faisal told Dr. Fawzia and Mr. Ejazul Haq that according to his information Dr. Afia Siddiqui had already been released by ISI and that she (Dr. Fawzia) should go home and wait for a phone call from her sister, however the whereabouts of Dr. Afia were not known until another Pakistani, Mr. Moazzam Begg (a former Guantanamo Bay detainee), who was arrested from Islamabad by ISI and later handed over to FBI recounted his experience during his detention in Bagram, Afghanistan in his book ‘Enemy Combatant’ after his release in year 2005.
After reading Mr. Begg’s book, a British journalist, Yvonne Ridley, decided to find further details about the ’Prisoner 650’ and visited Bagram and later called for help in a press conference on July 6, 2008, for a Pakistani woman. “I call her the ‘grey lady’ because she is almost a ghost, a specter whose cries and screams continues to haunt those who heard her,” Ms Ridley said at a press conference, Dr. Afia is being held by Americans for her alleged links with Al-Quaida operatives.
In the book ‘In the line of fire’, your husband General Pervez Musharraff has admitted the handing over of innocent people to Americans for bounty of Million of dollars in return, theses people are considered innocent unless given a chance of a fair trial and proven guilty by a competent court. He was COAS of Pakistan and self styled head of state and responsible to ensure the sovereignty of Pakistan and protection of lives and liberty of people.
Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan provided a guarantee to every citizen to be treated in accordance with law, there is a set procedure for those involved in criminal activities under Criminal Procedure Code which requires that charges against person involved in a crime outside the country and required by a International Police (Interpol) shall be brought before a court of law, the court shall decide about the validity and prima facie value of these charges and shall ensure that the person shall be treated according to law before handing him to a foreign state’s law enforcement agency. However in Dr. Afia’s case and handing over thousands other Pakistani’s to Americans, none of these procedures were followed, she was arrested with her children and handed over to Americans.
If she is involved in any criminal activity, she must have been treated in accordance with law, the charges against her should have been brought before a court and she must have been given a full opportunity to defend herself, even if found guilty, she, as a human being, enjoys protection under UN Charter of Human Rights while serving her sentence and her life and modesty is protected.
Her Children are as innocent as any other child and deserve the same opportunities and protection which is being provided to children of General Musharraff and other ‘men in uniform’. But unfortunately, those who are supposed to protect the women and children of this country have turned in to traders and selling their own people for sake of dollars.
In case the proper legal procedure was followed, it was ensured by court that she shall be treated in accordance with law; Dr. Afia would not have been subjected to inhuman treatment, sexual, physical and mental abuse to the point where he lost her mind!
You are blessed with children, you are a not only a mother but a grandmother, a daughter and a sister, apart from being the wife of a General, just imagine, what if it was not Dr. Afia it was your daughter Ayela and her beautiful children, and handed over to blood thirsty hounds, how would you feel if your daughter was being treated like Dr. Afia!
Please, look in to it from purely women’s prospective and think that how much dignity is left in the money with which you are feeding your children and grandchildren which is being paid by poor and helpless people of this country to your husband for protecting them and how much prosperity the dollars will bring in to your children lives which were earned by selling a daughter of this nation!
How can these soldiers stand with dignity and pride in front of their own daughters, sisters and wives, who arrested Dr. Afia, Moazzam Begg and thousands other missing Pakistani’s and handed them over to Americans for sake of money, which conquered Supreme Court of Pakistan when it was probing the issue of these innocent people.
Being daughters of this nation you have the power to take away that false pride from these cowards, you can make them realize that they are not much different from any other dirty pimp trading honor and modesty of a helpless women.
All of us have conscience, no matter how weak it becomes, it’s still there to guide us to make right decisions, no matter how late we are it’s never late to make a decision which is voice of our conscience, just take few moments and think over it and decide weather it’s worth spending rest of your life with the a person who have sold sons and daughters of this nation for his personal greed, who has betrayed the trust of those who assigned him the job to protect their women and children.
This country has given you a lot and it’s time to pay back that debt, obviously you are not in position to bring back the sufferings of Dr. Afia, her children or Moazzam Begg, but at least you can do this much, take away that false pride from the man who is responsible for sufferings of Dr. Afia, the pride and the dignity which he have shown you in uniform, which is symbol of bravery and sacrifice, for once ask your husband, why did he do this with a daughter of this country!
May Allah bless you and your children.
Best Regards,
A Son of Pakistan.
I read in the newspapers that Dr. Afia Siddiqui’s bail hearing is on 11th August, Monday, in a court in Manhattan, New York.
And I was thinking why don’t we Pakistani Muslims who live in NYC gather there peacefully and protest for Dr. Afia Siddiqui.
It is so important to raise our voices and be heard and to do it all in a consistent and peacful manner.
If we remain silent, it could be any one of us next time.
Please remeber Dr. Afia Siddqui is only a suspect, and that too by the infamous FBI. Her only sin seems to be to a practising Muslim who was proud of being a Muslim, and that was held against her as proof of being a terrorist.
So all other peaceful Muslims who are also proud of thier deen stand the equal risk of being lablelled as Al-Qaida terrorsits by FBI, CIA, US govt. or even the biased US Media.
Please don’t keep quite about this atrocity. Stand up and protest.
Just a note on comments – write whatever your hearts desire but please adhere to comment policy (see link at top of page) – no foul language please 🙂
Here is one thing that those Pakistanis who are in USA can easily do for Dr. Afia Siddiqui.
Please call Pakistan embassy , phone no. 202-243-3254 and request to speak to the ambassador. He would most likely be in a meeting and you would speak with some administrative assistant in his office. Ask him about update on Dr. Afia Siddiqui’s case, particularly these questions:
1. What is the update on the request to grant counselar access to Dr. Afia? Why is it taking so long for such a simple request to be accepted? Did the Ambassodor put some more pressure on US Govt. to grant this request?
2. Where are Dr. Afia’s 3 children ? Did the Ambassodor ask US govt. about them? If he did what response he got ?And if he did not , then why not?
3. Is some one from Pakistan embassy going to be there at the court to help amd assist Dr. Afia on August 11 on her bail hearing? If not then why not? And if yes the nwho wil lthat person be and what wil lhe hope to accomplish during that time?
I was told that the person who is handling this issue is Mr. Saqib Hussain at the Pak Embassy in Washington, his no. is 202- 243- 3254. Please call him too and if you can not speak with him, then at least leave him a clear message asking all of the above again and leaving your phone number.
Please show your support for Dr. Afia Siddiqui. May Allah help her and all other Muslims too . Ameen.

IT IS INDEED DIFFICULT TO READ INSIDE THE PEOPLE,
whether they are anti-muslims or not, but if your
arguments are strong enough no one can stop you,
Good luck
Rafay Kashmiri
I recieved a call from Pakistan embassy in washington today in response to my calls earlier today. The person who called was Nadeem/ Saqib Hussain. It was pure dismay on my part. His talk was full of a lot of nothing.
He said the embassy is following up on request for counselar access through phone calls but this all depends on the host country as to when they do accept the request. Oh so in other words Pakistan embassy is totally helpless.
He also said his information on Dr. Afia’s case comes from the news. He said he does not know if any one is going to be at the court for Dr. Afia’s bail hearing on 11th but he will ask concerned people and I can call again to check. He does not know any thing about Dr. Afia’s missing children.
How pathetic. And he wanted to know why am I so concerned. This is indeed pathetic.
salam
usa have expand thier interperence in pakistan
and pakistani ruler affraid from america not from thier allah
Assalam-o-alaikum:
This is not only the problem with muslims of this world, every person ( muslims / nonmuslims ) are feared about terrorism, some by jihadis, while others by anti jihadi, some may say it in other words peoples are feared / effected by unjustified polices by governments / organizations / others.
only way to overcome this problem is to feel others grieve, know what they think and understand whay they are doing such things, try helpful to resolve their problems. that way on humanatarian basis we could live peacefuly.
Dr. Afia must be provided true justice.
All of us have to loud for peace, and ‘ve to stop terrorism by any side.
Thanks.
So Dr. Afia Siddiqui has confirmed her detention at Bagram herself.
http://www.cageprisoners.com/articles.php?id=25738
The was she is being treated now is even more appalling. This really is a mockery of the justice system.
Sahira, great initiative on your part. I really do hope our voices are heard.
Assalaomilikum!
now a days we all are reading about Dr afia siddiqui and its confiurmed that she has done nothing wrong, but she is the famous neuro scientist plus a pakistani women and a muslim daughter, this all is enough to insult the muslims, they have held her since five years, and now you can see the pics, how much she has changed now.

Rafay Kashmiri
@Fawwaz Sidiiqui,
I would like to know about Islamic HR commission,
pls. mention their address or contact, e-mail
Please let me know if you got any rection from any
organisation e.g. Amnesty Int. ?
will be very kind of you, Sir,
Rafay Kashmiri
Sania, thanks for giving the update. Whatever happened to Dr. Afia Siddiqui and her children ( there is no mention in the press release of the younger two, where are they? are they alive? ) beyond horrible.
In these 5 long years US govt. has not been able to proove even one single allegation against her.
What is so frightening is that any other msulim woman could be a victim of this horrendous crime. And who knows how many other such victims have gone unherad and un seen in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
I was wondering what the somewhat sane political leaders are doing about it. Imran Khan had initially tried to help Dr. Afia Siddiqui. I very much hope he is or gets active on this case. JI hled a rally in Karachi for Dr. Afia. But we need stronger protests. Strong but peaceful.
May Allah help Dr. Afia Siddiqui and her children and her family, and each and every muslim in today’s world. Ameen.
Rafay Kashmiri can you think of other things to do for Dr. Afia?
http://www.facebook.com/posted.php?id=21777867538&share_id=65281365284#s65281365284
For those who haven’t yet read this, here is the link to BBC’s Urdu version about Dr. Afia Siddiqui’s first day in court. Please copy and paste this link in your browser window.
Please show your support for Dr. Afia Siddiqui actively.
She needs our prayers which all of us can offer all the time.
But she also needs support in many other ways which we can offer quite easily.
11 August is her bail hearing day in NYC. Like I had mentioned earlier all of us Pakistani’s in NYC and NJ should go there and show our very peaceful support for her.
I will post some more details about her bail hearing and what other ways we can help her.
What good will it do to just keep mentioning how sorry we feel about her case or how upset we are with Pakistani goverment or FBI for committing this horrendous crime ? It is not going to help Dr. Afia Sidiqqui in any way, is it?
So please start doing those little things that will Inshallah matter and will help her. At the very least we will be showing our solid support for her and she deserves that 110 %.
May Allah help he
it is a very shameful act that the U.S kept her for 5 years without ever interrogating her. also it is shameful on the part of pakistan government that they didn’t take any step against it and let her go in the hands of US . Dr. Afia siddique should now be realesed without any delay . and media should keep its pressure on the pakistan government.
what can i say, but shed tears while writing this!
what happened and what is happenig to Dr Afia, the daughter of Pakistan, the sister of all muslims, is to the extreme injust.
Allah will one day ask our so called leaders of what they did, will ask the Babarians of their crimes. And i know and beleive to the fullest of my heart and soul that they will be PUNISHED, i just wish Dr. Afia watched them being totured on that day, InshAllah.
Thank you all for trying to have our voices heard.
InshAllah, our voices will be heard and due recompense and justice will prevail.
My deepest, heartfelt wishes to Dr Afia, her 3 sons, her family and all the muslims who have or are part of the Babarian treatment.
May Allah bless us all.
Verily after every hardship there is ease… and we shall wait patiently for the ease… Allah Help us.
Mustafa
i think she hit nucleur bomb on japan and may be tsunami also is her act anyway modern society of usa seeing all but silent coz liers never have tongue dr Afia wish you best
USA and her terror mongering criminals hiding under the guise of FBI, CIA and her biggest partner in crime Pervaiz Musharaf are responsible for the death of an un countable no. of innocent people. By kidnapping an innocent women and her children and torturing her for five years, these criminals have again proven that they are devoid of any humanity. But what these criminals forget is that, “what goes around, it comes around”.
For dear sister Afia siddiqi:
He who did good even equal to a very small seed (rai), he will see (reward) and he who did wrong even to a very small seed (rai). will see (punished). And that punishment is not the punishment of this world. That will be for ever. (AL QURAN)
Do you not know when all of you will be out from your graves. (ALQURAN).
So dear afia: donot worry we are with you. and he the creator of creator is watching.
these governments are just like a bee infront of those who passed away thousands years ago. And now they are just hating symbols.

2. Donate your money, your time, your services for Dr. Afia Siddiqui!
Her lawyer Elaine Whitfield Sharp is doing this case pro bono. That means she is doing it for free. The costs of fighting this case are sure to be astronomical for her. Dr. Afia’s family are not rich, they have been spending a huge amount of money since 2003, when both Fauzia and Mohammed as well as their now deceased mother Ismet Siddiqui were ordered to come to the grand jury hearing regarding Dr. Afia Siddiqui.
So money does make a difference. Make donations for Dr. Afia Siddiqui. I am not aware of any fund that has been established for this purpose and her lawyer Elaine White Sharp told me that we can make out our checks to Elaine Whitfiled Sharp , in the memo section please do not forget to write for Dr. Afia Siddiqui.
Also you can help her case in so many other ways, providing free transportation, free accommodation, free assistance in other ways to the lawyer and the family are some of the ways in which we can help our sister in her case. Ms Whitfiled told me that during her last visit to NYC for Afia’s arraignment, two of the cabs she used belonged were Pakistanis, and Mashallah both of them refused to charge Ms. Sharp for the rides she took in their cabs and took no money for it. May Allah bless them.
Please know that for any one who is sincere in showing his or her support to Dr. Afia, there are many ways to do it.
Please remember that in today’s world it could have been any one of us in Dr. Afia’s place.
And also please do not forget that Allah will ask us why did we not help our helpless sister in her time of need? What excuse we will have to give to Allah then?
May Allah help Dr. Afia Siddiqui , her 3 children, her family, her lawyers and all of the Muslims. Ameen.

Asalam-a-Laikum:
its totally incredible that such thing happened and every one closed their
our government where the hell it has gone and what the embassy is doing there why they are acting as the surroundings are as normal as a rose.
More on how to help Dr. Afia Siddiqui:
I recieved this in email from Sheikh Zakir Illahi of NYC:
Please read this advice from an “American trained Chief Stategy Officer”:
If you guys want to help her here is some free advice from an American trained chief strategy officer
1. The campaign to help her should not focus on whether Aafia is guilty or not but on the fact that she has not been treated humanely.
2. There should be a centralized place (can be face book) where the facts are separated from the rumors – the facts must be defensible and the sources very credible. There should be a few moderators whogo in and manage this exercise
3. Everyone who wants to get involved has to be told look if your serious do at least four things. Otherwise your concern is great but know that all your doing is verbal extravagance which won’t help Aafia.
a. Write to at least one of the influential papers in your region (letter to the editor)
b. Write an email or call the major columnists in the paper and ask them to write about Aafia. Point them to preselected spokespersons who are credible and can give them facts (see 5c below)
c. Call the local TV stations and ask why are they not covering Aafia’s case – is it right to treat a woman like this no matter if she is guilty or not?. Point them to the pre selected spokespersons who can give them facts (see 5c below)
d. Write to your congressman or legislator asking him why is he not making an statements about this. Point them to the preselected spokespersons who can give them facts (see 5c below)4.
e. print t-shirts and posters that volunteers will put around town
5. Finally, emphasize the following points:
a. There are two aspects to this campaign:
i. Mobilizing the Muslim population to do something
ii. Mobilizing public opinion in the west
b. For the first aspect anyone can help
c. For the second aspect, the media war is western media targeted so everyone who is selected as the spokesperson and what you say has to cater to that audience. This means that:
i. The activists who will be most credible will be the ones that look western and speak like a western
ii. The arguments have to be structured on facts and logic and not on emotion. Please don’t speak if you cant pull yourself together. You’ll look like a radical and you’ll hurt the cause more than help it.
iii. Please do not quote the Quran – it has no special meaning if you are not a Muslim – the Israelis are masters at manipulating the western media for their purpose. All their spokespersons look like western individuals. They never put a rabbi in the front. They never quote from the torah.
A Correction in an earlier post I made (post # 34):
Dr. Afia Siddiqui’s mother Isment Siddiqui, is Mashallah alive. Her interview was published on August 7th in Urdu newspaper Ummat. Below is the link to that interivew.
http://ummatpublications.com/2008/08/07/lead31.php
GEO TV will air Dr. Aafia Siddiqui’s sister Dr. Fawzia Siddiqui’s interview by Dr. Amir Liaqut on Saturday, August 9th at 2 PM Eastern Time in USA.
Do not forget to watch.
Its a heart breaking news about afia , i feel so grieved and angry at our politiian. where is her children and husband…. dies somebody know?????
Reply to Syeda Sadia Kazmi’s question;
There is no confirmed news available for Dr. Aafia Siddiqui’s 3 children’s whereabouts.
The children are possibly of these ages :
Son Ahmad 10 or 12 years
Daughter, 9 or 8 years
Son, 5 years
There were a couple of mentions of a 12 year old boy being captured with Aafia by Americans in Ghazani Afghanistan on July 17th. But this is an unverified account given by FBI which is a master and expert liar.
So you can probably translate this into: probably atleast her oldest son is still in Bagram jail or somewhere else in Afghanistan under the detention of Americans. There is absolutely no information available on her 2 younger children.
Her ex-husband Amjad Khan who is a graduate of Aga Khan Medical University, and who trained as an anaesthesiologist in Boston, is said to be working in some hospital in Karachi. But this news is also hearsay and not confirmed.
If somebody has some more authentic information then please come and share them here.
Dear Muslims,
Asslamo Alykum, thought it is a piece of supreme cruelty, but only criticism can never be enough. We must try to be pure Muslims and Pakistani also. Is it not a fact that Dr. Afia Siddiqui has been severely tortured by country we dream for and we make them ideal for us? and that we are not adopting their culture here? Our media, our parties and every thing like that. Commenting here is GOOD but NOT ENOUGH.
May Allah we practically love ourselves.
To all the Muslim brothers and sisters who are sharing their concern and grief for Aafia by posting here and on other web sites!! Specially those living in USA and Euorope!!
It is very good to know that you feel for your sister Aafia and want to help her.
Here is how you all can help;
1. Donate your money, your free services to her lawyer Elaine and her family. Free services such as providng them accomodation in NYC and transportation with NYC when they are here for Aafia’s case, providing them free phone, internet and secretarial services and so on.
2. Gather all the facts regarding Aafia’s case and compile them in chornological order with dates and sources of those facts. This information will be very helpful for creating awareness in Western Media.
3. Write letters to your congress men, to your senators, to your local newspaper , to your local TV and Radio station.
4. Spread the word in Muslim and Pakistani commuinty. For spreading the word correctly you all need to educate yourselves on her case. That can be done using the internet.
If you are not prepared to do any thing of practical help for Aafia, then kindly do not make a show of wanting to help her. She needs help NOW! And in Practical ways! She does not need our mere lip service.
i am very angrey when i listion dr afia .i apeal all muslim protest to every place for dr afia.she is our sister.
@Sahira,
Are you in the NYC area? Can you pls email me at sahar_shafqat AT hotmail DOT com? I’m in the NYC area. I’m planning to be at the hearing tomorrow and want to be actively involved in this case, and would like to collaborate with you.
Thanks.
Sahar
Assalam alaikom,
all that is appreciated and may Allah reward each one of us the best inshallah.
Can someone please type the letters needed for us to send to our legislators or to the organizations, or to sign any of the available petitions that are being passed around?
Can someone just do that so all we have to do is just put our legislators’ name or address and then just cut and paste? not all of us are great in writing letters and this can help many of us.
Jazakom allah khair.
Roba and others,
Thanks to Kashif Mirza who sent me this link on facebook.
But this letter needs to be reformatted and edited first, because this was written when Aafia was still missing.
I have to go to New York today so I can not do it now. But later Inshallah I will make the changes and post it again.
In the meanwhile if some one else would like to do it, that would be great.
Here is the link to a sample letter to write to your congress men, or any other authority figure.
http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/1045905-pakistan-afia
SAMPLE LETTER:
Dear Mr. / Miss ________:
PAKISTAN/USA: A lady doctor is missing with her three children since five years after her arrest
Name of victim: Ms. Dr. Afia Siddiqui and her three children
Block 7, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi, Sindh province
The units of the alleged perpetrators: Intelligence agencies of Pakistan and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI-US)
I am shocked to know that Dr. Afia Siddiqui, a Pakistani citizen has been missing with her three children since April 2003, after her arrest by intelligence agencies of Pakistan. The whereabouts of children is also unknown, which is a serious act of negligence on the part of the government with regard to its responsibility to protect the citizen of the Pakistan.
According to the information I have received Dr. Afia was picked-up by Pakistani intelligence agencies while on her way to the airport and initial reports suggested that she was handed over to the American FBI. A few days later an American news channel, NBC, reported that Afia had been arrested in Pakistan on suspicion of facilitating money transfers for terror networks of Osama Bin Laden.
On April 1, 2003, a small news item was published in an Urdu daily with reference to a press conference of then Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat when, in reply to a question regarding the arrest of Dr. Siddiqui, he said she has not been arrested. But in another report the minister for interior said,”You will be astonished to know about the activities of Dr. Afia.” A weekly English magazine in its special coverage on Dr. Afia reported that after one week of the incident, an intelligence agency official, a motor cyclist in plain clothes, came to the house of her mother and warned “We know that you are connected to higher-ups but do not make an issue out of her daughter’s disappearance” and threatened her with dire consequences. After this development the whereabouts of Dr. Afia and her children are yet unknown.
What is also of grave concern to me is that when she was arrested by Pakistani intelligence authorities she was handed over to American intelligence agencies without being tried in Pakistan, I do not find any rationale in sending her along with her children to other country when there are Pakistani laws to deal with the suspected terrorists. It is known that President Musharraf handed over 600 suspected terrorists to America.
There were reports that in Afghanistan’s prison of Bagram there is a woman prison known as Prisoner 650 and that she has been severely tortured. It is also widely suspected that Prisoner 650 is Dr. Afia Siddiqui. This prisoner has reportedly lost her mind due to constant rape and ill treatment.
Yours sincerely,

From The News:
Pakistani scientist being subjected to ‘strip search’ if she meets attorney or relative
Monday, August 11, 2008
By Usman Manzoor
ISLAMABAD: After passing five years in detention, reportedly at the Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan, the ill-fated Pakistani woman, Dr Aafia Siddiqui, would be again subjected to continuous humiliation at the Metropolitan Detention Centre (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York, in the name of ‘strip search’.
According to the attorney of the detained Pakistani doctor, strip checking amounts to searching the body of a naked prisoner so as to check that the prisoner has not hidden anything in his or her body.
Though the American government has allowed two attorneys of Dr Aafia Siddiqui to meet her in the detention centre, the authorities are stressing for her strip search every time she would meet her attorneys, Pakistani diplomats or her family members as and when allowed.
A letter written by Dr Aafia’s counsel, Elaine Whitfield Sharp, on behalf of the detained Pakistani woman, to Husain Haqqani, the Ambassador of Pakistan to the US, reveals that the Americans have stressed the need for strip search of Dr Aafia every time she would meet some one but the Muslim lady from Pakistan has refused to undergo such humiliation.
Dr Aafia’s counsel wrote to Husain Haqqani that, “I write to you on behalf of Aafia Siddiqui, PhD, a 36-year-old Muslim woman and Pakistani citizen, who is in pre-trial detention at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York. Dr Siddiqui is not allowed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BoP) to have contact visits, that is, she is not allowed to come into physical contact with anyone.”
“Despite this, the BoP and staff at the MDC are insisting that Dr Siddiqui endure the humiliation of a so-called ‘strip search’ each and every time one of her lawyers come to visit her for purposes of defending her in the United States District Court on criminal charges.”
The lawyer described the strip search: “The inmate is required to be stripped naked and checked to find he/she is not hiding anything on his/her body.” “I think you will agree that this type of strip search is not only humiliating and degrading but is also offensive to a woman who is a devout Muslim, as is Dr Siddiqui.”
The counsel on behalf of the detained doctor wrote, “Because it is so offensive, Dr Siddiqui is now refusing to undergo this ‘procedure’ and because she will no longer consent, she is now forbidden from having a contact visit with her attorneys.”
Elaine Whitfield mentioned that on August 8, Gideon Oliver, Esquire, who is working with Attorney Elizabeth Fink, and she herself, went to the detention centre to visit Dr Aafia but could not gain access to their client for an attorney-client visit. “In addition, neither you (Husain Haqqani) nor any representative of the Pakistani government will be permitted to visit Dr Siddiqui to perform your diplomatic duties so long as she will not consent to a strip search.”
The lawyer suggested to the ambassador: “I write to you to implore that you demand, in the strongest terms, that the United States government Bureau of Prisons and Metropolitan Detention Centre employees cease and desist the practice of strip searching Dr Siddiqui which, in her case, is totally unnecessary because she is not allowed to have contact visits with her attorneys, or anyone else, anyway. Dr Siddiqui has been through a horrendous time and this is adding to the colossal emotional distress already inflicted on her by the United States in Afghanistan for five years and in Pakistan when she was abducted in 2003.”

You guys are talking about “Pakistani muslims” and “pakistani women” as if Pakistan presents a great example for Islamic piety and justice for the rest of the world. Wake up from you slumbers guys. It is pakistan’s totally negative image that can lead all of us into trouble even if we have done nothing wrong. Straighten your Qibla first before preaching to the USA what they are doing wrong.
@Nobody is talking only about Pak Muslims, the Iraqis,
Afghans , Kashmiris, NWFP are included, that goes also
for millions around the world innocent cvictims of injustice,
muslims or non-muslims, The Qioblah will always be
there, Inshallah, thanks for your ” puritanism”.
What a disgrace have been brought upon muslims and pakistanies by our president Mr. Pervaiz Musharraf?Tens of hundered of Pakistanies have been sold off to US spy agencies for dollars. I was worried about those male prisoner but it never make me cry. Since i heard and read about sister AAfia, i not only cried but also feel ashmed of being a Pakistani.
It is all because of you Mr. President.
I pray to almighty Allah to help Aafia, her children safety and reunion with her and she live a free life soon.
FYI the Email addresses of the embassy guys are attached at the end, please give them emails on daily basis in case they check it. it is our foremost duty to atleast put political pressure on them so that they atleast think that can happen to their families as well.
An Open Letter to Ambassador of Pakistan
Dear Mr., Ambassador,
I was just visiting the Pakistani Consulate in Washington DC (hope that you might know about one, just in case http://www.embassyofpakistanusa.org/index.php is the address) and saw that there was a very good ceremony of flag waving on 14th of August, 2008. But then suddenly came into my mind about one sister of Pakistan under the US detention for last 5 years. Did you once thought about her when you were taking pictures during the so called PERCHAM KUSHAI. Dr Afia Siddique is being raped was forced take bath in male toilets and she was a master mind, just that war against terrorism forced another Muslim to end its life. Did someone realize that if it were your daughter then what happened? But may be you were not qualified enough for what she was arrested for. This is the value of a Muslim Blood. I still remember what happened when Daniel Pearl was kidnapped, our great President Musharraf, gave statements on the TV and the whole agencies went to save him. It’s very good to save a human life but, dear Mr. Ambassador, shouldn’t it be proportional for a Pakistani blood as well.
We heard that Pakistani men were caught and kept for several years without any charges, but hearing about a Pakistani women (Mind you she is a neuroscientist and a Doctor as well) was the only thing left to hear. I cannot understand how much you guys are indulged in the world that you cannot even protect your sisters and sell your sisters to the agencies. I hope you are educated enough to know what do we call that person. May God help you in seeking what is good and what is not? I have also heard that you have registered an application to see her. But please can you also announce that on your website so that people can also see what are your current things to do except for waving the flag on 14th August in Churi Dar Pajama and Shahi Waskit.

I pray for my “most loving sister Respected Dr afia siddique”,may ALLAH help him and her sons. Dear afia ALLAH is great and with you.InshaAllah in the day of justice you will be among the successfuls.
The way sister is being treated is a question mark to the whole muslim community. Wake up muslims.
the way Afia treated and other brothers and sisters in islam god help them and Wake up muslims Wake up muslims Wake up muslims before it’s too late.
Mujhe only yehi kahna hai
Wake up muslims wake up muslims wake up muslims.
its really shameful 4 muslims. Musharaf Afia is also ur daughter. And u was the worst father of the universe. Ur death will not gave the honour 2 afia. Afia my sis v r with u. May Allah give u the power 2 face bloody americans justice.
I JUST GOT TO KNOW ABT ALL AFIA SIDDIQUE CASE N IT SEEMS REALLY AWFUL.I MEAN IF SHE WAS ARRESTED BY ISI THEN Y SHE HAD’NT BEEN QUESTION IN OUR OWN COUNTRY?INSTEAD SHE HAD BEEN HANDED IN THOSE HANDS WHERE SHE WAS MALTREATED. IN THIS CASE WE ALL PAKISTANIS HAVE TO STAND TOGETHER N HAVE TO RAISE OUR VOICES AGAINST THIS.DON’T TAKE HER AS A PAKISTANI BUT JUST THINK SHE IS A MUSLIM FIRST.AND FOR THAT WE MUSLIMS CAN’T BEAR TO SEE THAT HAPPENING TO HER, TO A MUSLIM WOMAN.I REQUEST TO ALL THE MUSLIM COUTRIES AND SPECIALLY TO THE GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS ALONG WID MY COUNTRY PEOPLE,TO STAND UNITED AGAINST ALL THIS,TO RAISE THEIR VOICES AGAINST THIS UN-HUMAN MANNER AND DO SUMTHING TO PREVENT THIS THING HAPPENING AGAIN.TRY TO SAVE THIS LADY,A MOTHER,A DAUGHTER,A SISTER.PLZ JUST DO SUMTHING………..
If you are on the side of Kufaars you’ll be with them on the day of judgement. Even dogs in their countries have more rights. inhumane behavior towards women.
This is Shameful a woman can NOT be treated like this…..
Read “Iyata Kerma”
I dont understand how can we be so unjustified…may be she is involved in terrorism. We have no proofs about her getting seized in Karachi either. The Pakistani authorities have not accepted any such accusation. If she was in Karachi and not in Afghanistan prove it. And if you all are so worried about her try to do some research to prove her innocence.. I think, she must definitely be a terrorist supporter which is why she was in Afghanistan and got arrested there. Why would the FBI waste so much of their time and energy on this lady? They could easily have got rid of her way back. Ask her faimly to prove that she was in Karachi when arrested.
I have a question for Ishtiaq Kiani. How can you blame Musharraf Sahab for all this? Have you ever tried to probe into these made up stories against Musharraf Sb or are you wise enought just to believe in this negative propaganda against him. Have you ever seen him handover or sell anyone to US?I know a hundred Pakistani women who have studied in the US like Dr Afia and they are not arrested by the FBI leave aside detention. What is there so special about this sister of yours that she got accused of involvement in terrorism?
Particularly, the last message by Mr.Talha shows that americans are justified and dead sun musharraf is
innocent in whole scenario.
Okey we suppose Dr.Afia is TERRORIST.
But I can bet for hundred millions euros that his
one month old son wasn’t.
Was he?
As you changed my mind about her,
Please change about him as well.
In response to Mr. Talha. I just want to ask, have you had one of your family members handed over to the US by Musharaf for money that he was paid? no you have not. So I suggest you go back to the bubble that you live in. The world is not what it seems to be sir. As Mr Zeeshan said you can not justify KIDNAPPING a 1 month old boy and denying him his mother. Did he attend a terrorist camp in his mothers womb? If this happen to an American woman in a Muslim country , what would USA do????? Would they wait 5 years or would they enter the country illegally drop two special forces teams out of the sky take their citizens back to US soil and kill everyone that got in there way. Thats how US conducts business I know because i was trained by them.

As Salamu Alaikum My Brothers and Sisters in Islam.
SubhanAllah the life is full of cruel stories as this one and worse. Who is to blame…. is this the question? We all need to strengthen Our Iman and realize that this life is passing quickly…..we will all face our judgement day….so it won’t matter who, what, when, where, how, why…..Allah swt never sleeps and is counting everything we do say and hear…..Our actions are to trust in Allah swt and Allah swt will reveal the answers to all of our questions….and no man or woman on this earth can control the fate of our souls….May Allah swt reward the innocent victims of their pain and suffering in this life InshAllah give them everlasting paradise in the hereafter Ameen…
Remember Don’t build your villa’s on earth, these are only false-temporary pleasures and treasures of this world ….build your good thoughts, deeds-actions to follow you in the hereafter with clean thoughts & heart surely Allah swt will reward those of his creations InshAllah Ameen
America needs to stop violating the very basic rights of people for its personal agendas.
Release Dr. Afia
we are muslum ? hows muslum ?
Ya we are Muslims—-full of corruption , wickedness—————We keep our names as Mihammad Idrees ,Ahsan Ali –but by seeing the character these Idreeses , Ahsan Alis—- new generation want to get escape from these persons & to live in Canada ,USA with Johns ,Williams ,
I just found out about Dr. Afia Siddiqi’s case. It seems from the blogs above that after August 2008 the fervor for proactive support for this sister is dampened. Can any one please make some practical and effective suggestions as to what can be done now to help this oppressed sister.
There were some very good points made by Sahira in her August 8, 2008 blog. It made an important point about seperating facts from conjectures and emotional comments. If anuone has made a list of facts about this case could you please post it here.
If there is an organized effort being made for Dr. Afia’s release Can anyone please give contact details about it. What about contacting high profile, speakers of feminist issues, like Oprah Winfrey or others like her? University and college campuses are a good place to highlight this issue as well.
Dr. Afia’s plight is not only a case of gross human rights violation but also goes against feminist and American values and ideals, and should be brought up as such in America.
As two of Dr. Afia’s children were American citizens, this is an American story as well. There are many Americans, belonging to many churches and synagogues, who stand up for truth and justice, we need to get them involved in this story of horror.
I hope Dr. Afia’s supporters have not given up.
The only practical way is to believe in Allah swt and Pray for Allah swt help….not people….Where is Our Iman as Muslims!!!
Nothing happens without Allah swt ….Pray for results…Allah swt is Justice “sees and is all aware”
i love u dr. afia u r agreat women. Assalamualaikum wa rahmatAllah wa barakatuhu,
Dear Muslim sisters and brothers, It’s a really brighten sign that you all are alive!! you all are concerned about what happened to Dr. Afia Siddiqui. First One who are believers of Allah, who posses belief in Tauheed, they are not losing their hopes. Tauheed will keep the hope alive in your heart, we may be sinful but Allah is merciful to forgive them.
Every other second or every other moment , a thing (living or non-living) is ending up and another is borned. Same as every other moment , some events end up and some begins. We Muslims, We have Got chain of bad events tied from our past to our present. 99.99% of them are the results of our sinful and wrong deeds for them we must be ashamed to Allah and must ask Forgiveness to Allah.
And after that must keeping your hopes Good or Positve (to Allah) and hope for a Good beginnig. May Allah forgive us and do Mercy on all of us.
Imagine Dr.Afia Siddiqui is one of them who are betrayed like that, Dr. Afia is our Muslim sister, How Many are like hers in Kashmir, Palestine,Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosove, Checnya,…. etc. Imagine How many girls are Kidnapped in Karachi After Benazir Bhutto was assaulted! How many Students of Laal Masjid and Masjid-e-Hafsa are still missing but unreported!! How many Girls or Boys are kidnapped by the agenicies working in Pakistan for U.S, and severally tortured like that. Remember Dr.Shazia case who was raped when she was on the duty at an “Army destination”! and Former President Pervez Musharraf (i call him Dogi) denied to submit her case and pressurised her to remain silent.
i agree with my sisters and i must say them that they keep themselves according to what Allah says. Haya is the Base of Iman. So learn Islam and digout the true Islamic values from the reliable and approved books.
And i may ask to my Muslim brothers, i see my real sister or daughter of my mum and dad with an eye that i am her brother, i am her Guard, I have so many responsibilities about her that Allah will ask for them to me in the day of Judgement. Remember God can forgive us for His own rights( Huqooq Allah) but Huqooq-ul-Ibad ( Rights of peoples on us) God will not interfare, it’s directly subjected to us and to whom we are responsible for.
Last, i must say to my Muslim Brothers Respect Human being, Respect Woman!! We must respect Woman in really special way or by exceptional means. Their hearts are soft, so dont break their heart. Give them comfort and security and pay well attention to their needs. And be aware of all the responsibilities we got on our shoulders about them. All the Muslims are brothers and sisters to each other. So if my sister is my “Respect and Honour” , so as yours sister is as same to me like my sister is to me.Be careful of your women wether she is your sister or daughter, wife or mother in all aspects of life.Make them follow the commandments of Allah and You can preach them of Islam in a polite manner.
Keep ur Hopes alive and pray to Allah,
yours brother,
Mr. AT (Arsalan Tariq)
I hope & pray the best for her, anyways will appreciate that before accusing Mr. Musharaf or any agency i.e ISI, FBI ….or so we should know the fact …like what she left her hubby and got married to whom…what was her connection transfering money to different people where she traveled before she was attrested….
Insha Allah this woman will be treated with dignity and respect, but her husband admitted he assaulted her several times.
She now resides in a USA prison as a psychiaric patient, her life is for now broken, and she needs legal assistance for the defense of her human rights…..
Sadly whatever the brother above has said, Muslim men in general do not treat woman with respect whether they are Muslim sisters or not. Very few `Muslim men follow the teachings of Islam, they demand their rights but donot implement their Islamic obligations to woman fairly……woman are the true defenders of Islam not men who claim to follow the deen. I see them everyweek at the Musjid, no manners, no respect, pushing and shoving, parking cars all over the pavements hindering the local people, despite what the Imam tells them it falls on deaf ears. I am fortunate but many woman are not….
Afia is a case in question, her children are lost, her life is shattered and the Afghanis allowed her to be deported to USA to stand trial though it has been seen that she is not fit to stand trial….this is truly torture..not justice….
Question still remains, why she got involved herself in dangerous activities ?

Who is Dr. Afia? Dr. Afia is our sister, Sister for all the Pakistanis, Sister for all the Muslims in the Universe.
Today She is facing inhuman and cruel treatments by the preachers of HUMAN RIGHTS. Why is our nation not protesting, why do we not raise our voice before our concerning departments about dr. Afia?
Unfortunately we have become like a dead nation. A nation thinking about next meal all the time, and have forgot its dignity and responsibility.

If we are true Muslims
Dr.Afia sadique is our sister our repute. i feel shameful when our politicans give a shabby statement about her that our conversation are going and soon a good news will be announced. They all are rabbish they have no smythasy for Pakistan and his people they are only spending there time and when time funished they go abroad and commense their bussiness. You will be shocked after hearing that the president of America Obama’s total assets are $1300,000 and our Pakistani president Asif Ali Zardari’s total assets are $2,00,00,00,000 and having nine properties in America, nine in England, two in Belgium and one in France. How can he solve this problem a man who is renowned by the name of Mr Ten Precent, they can never spoke against them because if they talk strongly the bastered will anger. they said that we hardly prohabited the drone attack and then later a announcement recived that they asked himself that u r free attack every where u want.
IN LAST I SAYS THAT U SHOULD CHOSE UR CHOICE DON’T VOTE LIKE THIS MAN WHO CAME HER FOR POWER NOT FOR OUR

Imagine, what should be our answer at this time? can we do the satisfy GOD in this Case? NEVER. Absoulty never.
Kindly do something for sister Afia. Play your role in this regard.
Thx. Ilyas
how could the US military believe that a woman so highly educated and with the intentions to help mankind bring a threat or harm to US forces. I am not sure of what made the US take Affia to baghram prison because i have not found the main reason from my research. But what disturbs me and shakes my soul is what they are doing to her in that prison; which includes rape, sexual abuse, tourcher, and harrassment of religion. May Allah show his miracle and bring justice to Dr. Affia and befall the fire of hell on the people who are bringing this distress upon her.
Assalam O Alikum
Dear Friends, Brothers, And sisters
We must have to protest agaist the court order. Our Government and All the Muslim Rulers must have to do something for her. We have to bycott USA.
slam brothers and sisters mums and dads out their viewing this.first of all i like to say what happened to pakistan government when they wanted the nations help for votes.first nawaz shriff who swipped the world for money and greed frm poor zardie sits and the out side world s cannot tolerate his stupid exbition on his family and his new suits and spends all the money which is left on his family protection and luxerious life and gets a slipper thrown at his face ,musharaf pervez thought he woz good and him goes along be innocent and sell innocent people to us because they might fall out with him, whatever happens pakistan dont give a toss about and country, our families go out and get us married to any unknown cousin which aint seen and what tortoure we get no one knows we have to hide it inside us,pakistan love money, and no respect for us guys we are being used for to get to england, the treatment i got from my inlaws was sad but i kept every pain, and today i rule those people who once tried ruining my life, every one wanted a visa, fuck them i will never give that life l to my children.Dr afia siddique who has a family and is repectedly known ,pakistan can not tolerate a woman who is well educated,so obiviously musaharaf sold her ,what if it was his daughter & wife or sister he would have hell cried out too everyone, all we wantis sister afia a life as normal and those who disciminated brought to justice ,she knows that she cannot face anyone because of all and everyday she is raped and abused and tortered,i hope that inshah allah she iz innocent and freed from those monsters and oneday she will be free and her children are whereabouts should have been told, the pskistan goverment know what happened to her children and noone else,if mussharaf sold her then he might have sold her children to someone out their, thats why the release of afia is an excuse now has all secrets will be told if free, pakistan and america will be the bad ones to be hurt and assaulted, who started the fight in iraq the america only for oil and now want to start a fight in iran, pakistan has already half ruined because of what they do to others, i respected pakistan but pakistan dont have no respect for us .
